The Ministry of Tourism and Wildlife has reaffirmed Kenya’s unwavering commitment to conservation and visitor safety in the Maasai Mara National Reserve, following the release of widely circulated footage capturing the dramatic wildebeest migration.

According to the County Government of Narok, the footage was taken at the Purungat Gate, a well-known crossing point for the migrating herds.
The Chief Warden confirmed the authenticity of the video, which highlights the scale and intensity of the migration currently underway.
In its official statement, the Ministry expressed concern over the growing global sensitivity surrounding conservation and the Maasai Mara’s pivotal role in shaping Kenya’s international image.
