In the quiet Gesiaga Village of Nyamira, Blessing Bosibori Nyamweno battles a life-threatening heart condition that her family cannot afford to treat.
Bosibori’s days are marked by endless hospital visits, weakness, and uncertainty.
Medical reports from Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital (MTRH) and Tenwek Hospital reveal that Blessing is suffering from a serious congenital heart condition—Tetralogy of Fallot (TOF) with Pulmonary Regurgitation and Multiple Cardiac Complications.
Doctors have strongly advised urgent surgery, preferably outside Kenya, as the case is too complex to be handled locally.
For her to get the specialized treatment, the family should urgently raise Ksh.2 million.
Bosibori’s parents, however, are poor peasant farmers struggling even to put food on the table.
The family survives from hand to mouth, with no steady income, and the thought of raising the millions required for treatment in India feels like chasing the wind.
“We are watching our child fade before our eyes. We have nowhere to turn but the kindness of well-wishers,” her mother says tearfully.
Blessing’s condition has already started affecting her growth and daily life.
Without surgery, her chances of survival diminish with each passing day.
Yet, with timely medical intervention, she has a real chance of living a normal, healthy life.
The family has appealed to well-wishers, churches, NGOs, and compassionate individuals to help Blessing get the life-saving surgery she desperately needs.
A physical fundraising will be done at their Gesiaga home on September 11th, 2025.
The family has obtained a Paybill for this purpose: (Business No: 247247, Account No: 738037).
