Kitutu Masaba MP Clive Gisairo has unveiled a state-of-the-art digital community hub at the Tombe NG-CDF offices in Manga Ward as part of an ambitious push to expand digital literacy in his constituency.
The facility, donated by American Tower Corporation – Kenya (ATC), is already fully equipped and will serve as a local centre for ICT skills development and digital inclusion.
“This facility is designed to enhance digital literacy across rural communities in Kitutu Masaba,” said the MP in remarks posted on social media.
He added: “We have unveiled a fully equipped digital community hub … to provide a platform for locals to develop their technological skills and actively participate in the growing digital economy.”
In a welcome gesture, ATC Kenya has committed to covering internet costs for one year to ensure operations can begin seamlessly.

Gisairo expressed gratitude to the Ministry of ICT, PS Digital Economy Eng John Tanui (represented), the ATC–Kenya family, and the Ajira Digital team for their roles in the launch.
Plans are already afoot to roll out further hubs, including the Gesima Digital Centre, which is currently under construction.
The hub aligns with a growing national push to bridge Kenya’s digital divide.
The government plans to deploy 47 ICT centres and 1,450 digital hubs nationwide to spur innovation and access in remote areas.

Meanwhile, ATC Kenya, through its “Digital Communities” programme, aims to deliver connectivity, training and infrastructure to underserved communities.
Digital innovation hubs such as these are increasingly recognised as critical in Kenya’s digital transformation agenda.
At a national level, Digital Platforms Kenya (DigiKen) has convened workshops with existing hubs across counties to strengthen collaboration and promote access to entrepreneurship, tech skills, and inclusive services.
Beyond basic connectivity, the success of such centres depends on sustained training, reliable power supply, and community engagement.
The MP’s call to operationalise more hubs signals a local commitment to ICT inclusion.
