Broadcasting and Telecommunications Principal Secretary Stephen Isaboke has been appointed the new Goodwill Ambassador of FKF Premier League side Shabana FC.
The move is aimed at strengthening the club’s fan outreach and national visibility.
The appointment was announced in Nairobi by the club’s Secretary General Dr Elizaphan Kerama, who said the decision is part of a broader strategy to expand the team’s engagement with supporters and partners.
The Kisii-based outfit—fondly known by its loyal supporters as “Tore Bobe,” a popular local rallying call—continues to assert itself not only as a competitive football side but also as a symbol of regional pride and unity within the Gusii community.

In his new role, Isaboke will spearhead efforts to elevate the club’s national profile by championing its vision, values, and long-term ambitions.
His appointment is expected to enhance Shabana’s engagement with fans, corporate sponsors, government institutions, and the wider football fraternity.
Leveraging his influence in public service and national leadership, Isaboke is expected to help mobilise goodwill, unlock strategic partnerships, and attract investment critical to the club’s sustainability and growth.
Club officials say his presence signals rising confidence in Shabana’s future and underscores its growing relevance within Kenya’s football landscape.

The club has long drawn strength from one of the country’s most passionate fan bases, and the new appointment reinforces its commitment to deepening community ties while building a solid support structure around players and management.
As Goodwill Ambassador, Isaboke will also champion outreach initiatives, inspire emerging talent, and connect the club with stakeholders across both public and private sectors—an approach aligned with Shabana’s mission of using football as a vehicle for youth empowerment, social cohesion, and community development.
The appointment reflects a deliberate strategy by the Club to extend brand influence beyond matchdays.

By associating with respected national figures, the club aims to boost visibility, strengthen partnerships, and accelerate commercial growth.
Since earning promotion back to the FKF Premier League in 2023, Shabana FC has shown steady progress—rebuilding its competitive edge, expanding fan engagement, and securing commercial opportunities including sponsorships and community programmes.
For the “Tore Bobe” faithful, the naming of Isaboke as Goodwill Ambassador is seen as a reaffirmation of the club’s upward trajectory and a shared vision that blends leadership, community, and sport for lasting impact.
