Shabana FC has secured a major medical and financial boost following the formalization of a goodwill partnership with Oasis Healthcare Group Ltd.

Both institutions said the collaboration is rooted in shared values of community, excellence and long-term sustainability.

The partnership, which provides comprehensive medical cover valued at Ksh 8.8 million annually and additional financial support of Ksh 1.2 million per year, was confirmed during a joint announcement by club officials and the healthcare provider.

Speaking on behalf of the club, Secretary General Dr. Elizaphan Kerama described the agreement as a defining moment in Shabana FC’s journey toward professionalization.

“Today marks a significant milestone in the continued growth and professionalization of Shabana Football Club,” Dr. Kerama said.

“As a club, we remain firmly committed to strengthening our internal structures, enhancing player welfare, and aligning our operations with modern standards of football management.”

He emphasized that the club’s ambition goes beyond match-day performance, noting that sustainability and accountability are central to its long-term strategy.

“Our vision extends beyond performance on the pitch; it encompasses building a sustainable, professionally managed institution grounded in excellence and accountability,” he added.

Dr. Kerama revealed that discussions between the two institutions had been ongoing for several months before culminating in the agreement.

“Over the past several months, we have engaged in constructive and progressive discussions with a reputable medical institution that shares our commitment to excellence both on and off the field, and today I am pleased to officially announce that these discussions have culminated in a goodwill partnership with Oasis Hospital,” he said.

Under the deal, Oasis Healthcare Group Ltd will provide comprehensive medical services to Shabana FC’s players and technical team.

The cover includes medical assessments, treatment, emergency care and overall health management.

“This support ensures that our players and technical team will have access to quality, timely, and professional healthcare services,” Dr. Kerama stated.

“The coverage will include medical assessments, treatment, emergency care, and overall health management—key components in safeguarding player welfare and optimizing performance.”

In addition to the medical package, the healthcare provider has committed Ksh 1.2 million annually in financial support to strengthen the club’s operational capacity.

“In addition to the medical cover, Oasis Hospital has extended annual financial support amounting to Ksh 1,200,000 to the team. This contribution is offered in the spirit of strengthening the club’s operational capacity and reinforcing our commitment to high professional standards,” Dr. Kerama said.

He noted that player welfare remains a central pillar of Shabana FC’s long-term vision and that the partnership reflects deliberate and strategic progress toward achieving that goal.

“This partnership is fundamentally about protecting the health of our players, enhancing performance, and building a resilient and sustainable football institution,” he said.

In line with principles of good governance and accountability, the agreement will undergo a formal review after three months to evaluate implementation and impact, and to allow both parties to make any necessary adjustments to strengthen the collaboration.

On its part, Oasis Healthcare Group Ltd said the partnership goes beyond sponsorship and reflects a shared commitment to people and community.

In a message dated February 21, 2026, and signed by Joash Mwanzi on behalf of the Chief Operations Officer, the healthcare provider said it was “honoured to partner with Shabana FC in a collaboration that goes beyond sponsorship to reflect our shared commitment to people, community and excellence.”

The statement described the partnership as symbolic of the dreams of young supporters and the dedication of players.

“This partnership represents the aspirations of young fans who dream of one day wearing the Shabana jersey, the resilience and dedication of the players on the pitch, and the unwavering loyalty of supporters who stand behind the team through every moment,” the statement read.

Oasis Healthcare Group underscored that care for people is central to its mission.

“At Oasis Healthcare, caring for people is at the core of what we do. Every day, we support families, treat injuries, promote mental wellness, and walk alongside individuals on their journey to recovery,” the message stated.

The institution described standing with Shabana FC as a natural extension of its mission, noting that strong teams are built on a foundation of good health and wellbeing.

“Standing with Shabana FC is a natural extension of our mission, because behind every great team is the foundation of good health and wellbeing,” the statement added.

It further expressed pride in supporting the club not merely as a sponsor but as a committed partner invested in the success of both the team and the broader community.

“We are proud to support the players, safeguard their health and be part of this remarkable journey — not merely as sponsors, but as committed partners invested in the success of the team and the community. Because when the community succeeds, we all succeed,” the statement concluded.
