KCB Bank has unveiled rally driver Tinashe Gatimu’s new Ford Fiesta R2 ahead of the 2026 Safari Rally Kenya, scheduled for March 12–15 in Naivasha.
The move is part of the bank’s Female-Led and Made Enterprises (FLME) initiative, which champions women in business and sports.
Gatimu, who previously competed in a Subaru Impreza GC8, will tackle the iconic rally alongside her mother, Caroline Gatimu, forming a rare and inspiring mother-daughter team in one of the world’s most competitive motorsport events.
Speaking at the unveiling on Thursday evening, KCB Group Director of Marketing and Communications, Rosalind Gichuru, said: “Through the Safari Rally, we are proud to have this powerful mother-daughter duo carry the FLME banner.”
“In Tinashe and her mother, we see legacy, mentorship, and the generational transfer of courage—values that perfectly reflect what KCB stands for.”
The rally also highlights KCB’s expanding presence in motorsport through the KCB Racing Team, where Gatimu joins fellow drivers Queen Kalimpinya, Nikhil Sachania, Karan Patel, and Oscar Ntambi.
Tinashe Gatimu expressed her excitement: “This is a special moment for me. Driving the Ford Fiesta R2 in the Safari Rally with my mum as my navigator is something I deeply cherish.”
“Rallying is part of our family journey, and carrying the FLME banner motivates me to push harder and inspire young women to believe they belong in motorsport.”
