Kenyan singer and entrepreneur Esther Akoth, popularly known as Akothee has added another milestone to her public life after officially joining Kisii Sports Club as a gold member.
Akothe said this reflects the warmth and support she continues to receive from communities across the country.
The outspoken entertainer shared the news with her followers on social media, expressing gratitude to business leader Rogers Moturi, who sponsored her membership at the club.
Moturi is a business magnet in western Kenya, with interests in public road transport, hospitality and supermarkets, among other investiments.
“I am truly blessed to be loved and appreciated by many great people in this country,” Akothee wrote.
“Today I officially join Kisii Golf Club as a member, and my membership has been generously sponsored by none other than Hon. Rogers Moturi.”

The golf club, located in Kisii, has over the years grown into a popular social and sporting hub in the region, attracting golfers, business leaders and public figures who enjoy the game while networking and supporting community initiatives.
Akothee used the moment to highlight a charitable gesture that she says is making a real difference to children at her learning institution.
She revealed that Guardmat Supermarket, owned by Moturi, has been donating bread every week to pupils at the Akothee Academy.
“Guardmat has continued to support Akothee Academy by donating bread every week for our pupils,” she said.
“We simply walk into Guardmat Supermarket and collect four crates of Guardmat bread for the children.”
The bread, known locally as Guardmat Bread and produced by the Guardmat supermarket chain that mainly serves western Kenya, has become a regular part of the children’s meals at the academy.
Akothee praised the initiative as an example of how businesses and communities can work together to support education and improve children’s welfare.
“Acts like these remind me that when community and leadership come together, real impact is created,” she said while thanking Moturi and the Guardmat family for “standing with education and supporting our children.”

She also extended a playful invitation to her friends and fans in Kisii and beyond to join her on the course.
“To my friends around Kisii and beyond, I am now officially a member of Kisii Golf Club. Come swing with me sometime!” she wrote, adding a lighthearted touch in Kisii dialect: “Kisii love is real… mogaka voom voom!”
Akothee is known for blending music, business and philanthropy.
Her latest move reflects her growing ties with communities across western Kenya.
Her charitable and entrepreneurial activities continue to attract attention beyond the entertainment stage.
