Windsor Golf Hotel & Country Club golfer Kamoza Longwe delivered a composed performance to claim victory at the inaugural NCBA Ulinzi Invitational, finishing four-under-par after the final round at the Kenya Airforce Golf Club on Sunday.

Longwe sealed the three-day championship with a total score of 212 (-4), posting consistent rounds of 71, 71, and 70 to edge his clubmate Michael Warigia by a single stroke in a tightly contested finish.

Warigia, fresh from a third-place finish at the NCBA Muthaiga Open the previous weekend, continued his impressive run with a strong showing.

He fired the lowest round among the leading contenders—a three-under-par 69—in the final round to finish second on 213 (-3).

Kenya Railway Golf Club’s Isaac Makokha completed the podium places on 217 (+1) after rounds of 76, 68, and 73, with his second-round 68 ranking among the standout performances of the tournament.

Windsor’s Alex Mwangi surged up the leaderboard with a solid closing round of 70 to finish fourth on 221 (+5), while Richard Muthugia of Kenya Railway Golf Club and John Kamaisi of Nakuru Golf Club shared fifth place on 222 (+6).

The tournament marked a significant milestone for Kenyan amateur golf, with the NCBA Ulinzi Invitational being staged for the first time as part of the expanded Kenya Amateur Golf Championship (KAGC) Series calendar.

This year’s KAGC schedule has been broadened to include two new events—the NCBA Ulinzi Invitational and the Machakos Open—in a move aimed at increasing competitive opportunities for elite amateur golfers.

In the 2026 KAGC Order of Merit standings, Muthaiga Golf Club’s Jay Sandhu leads with 560.00 points, followed by youngster Junaid Manji in second place with 334.02 points.

Defending champion John Lejirma sits third with 230.05 points, while Rafael Leming’ani is fourth with 219.25 points. Longwe’s victory sees him round out the top five with 211.30 points.

Attention now shifts to the next event on the KAGC calendar, the Winston Churchill Cup, set to take place at Thika Sports Club from April 10 to April 12.
