PUBG MOBILE has released its Version 4.3 Update, introducing an array of new features, gameplay enhancements, and global celebrations to mark its eighth anniversary.
The update introduces a themed mode dubbed “Evolving Universe,” transforming core maps such as Erangel, Livik, and Miramar with futuristic elements.
Players can now experience spacetime distortions, redesigned urban zones, and dynamic rail systems, alongside new racing gameplay and parachute challenges designed to boost engagement.
Speaking during the launch, PUBGM Africa Marketing Manager Jeff Tang said the update adds five passive skill specializations and a new Energy Rank system ranging from Rank C to Rank S.
The system enables players to unlock “Temporal Vaults” containing themed in-game rewards, enhancing progression and customization.
“To mark the milestone, the game has rolled out the ‘For Every #1’ campaign, celebrating player achievements across its global community. Players are also receiving early access to ‘LEAN (PUBG MOBILE 2026 Theme Song),’” Tang said.
The update features time-limited incentives, including the RPA18 Royale Pass available at a discounted 60 UC, offering rewards valued at up to 80,000 UC.
Anniversary-themed events kicked off on March 12 with the Mythic Forge Anniversary Event and culminated on March 27 with in-game rewards and a special showcase.
Global events
As part of the celebrations, PUBG MOBILE has organized a series of global events.
The flagship event will take place at the Grand Pyramid of Giza, featuring live performances and esports activities.
Additional activations are planned in Türkiye and Indonesia, including fan events and exhibitions.
The update also includes high-profile collaborations.
Popular content creator MrBeast joins the campaign with exclusive themed content, while the anime Jujutsu Kaisen returns with additional characters and in-game rewards.
Further highlights include a $10 million creator program under the World of Wonder platform and the WOW DASH competition with a $100,000 prize pool. Enhancements have also been made to Classic Mode, Metro Royale, and Home Mode.
“As part of its esports expansion, the game will host the PMGO Africa Finals on May 9, where top teams will compete for a $22,000 prize pool,” Tang added.
Tang noted that Version 4.3 is one of the most extensive updates to date, blending gameplay innovation, global activations, and community-driven celebrations.
