The sixth edition of Mud4Fun, Kenya’s premier 4×4 challenge and family-friendly lifestyle event, will take place at Northlands in Ruiru over the Easter weekend, from April 3 to 5, 2026.
The annual event continues to blend high-adrenaline off-road competition with diverse entertainment, reinforcing its growing role in diversifying Kenya’s tourism offerings while promoting local travel experiences.
This year’s edition has attracted 40 participants across various categories, ranging from amateurs to super-expert drivers, with more than 1,000 spectators expected to attend.
Beyond the competition, organizers promise a wholesome outdoor experience for all ages. Activities will include a dedicated Kiddie Village, muddy play zones, painting areas, and quad bike rides tailored for children.
Mud4Fun founder Kinuthia Chege said the event has grown into a premier outdoor and motorsport experience, drawing enthusiasts from across East Africa.
“Mud4Fun continues to grow as a premier outdoor and motorsport experience, attracting participants and enthusiasts from across East Africa. What makes the event truly special is the sense of community it creates, bringing together people from different backgrounds, all united by a shared passion for adventure and the outdoors,” he said.
Chege added that the event remains committed to environmental sustainability through its Mud4Green initiative.
“Beyond the thrill, we remain deeply committed to responsible enjoyment through our Mud4Green initiative, which integrates environmental conservation into the heart of the event. From awareness efforts to on-ground activities like tree growing at Northlands, we are intentional about ensuring that Mud4Fun leaves a positive and lasting impact,” he said.
The event has steadily evolved into a key regional attraction, combining motorsport excitement with environmental stewardship, including tree-planting activities at the venue.
Kenya Tourism Board (KTB) CEO June Chepkemei emphasized the importance of such events in expanding the country’s tourism portfolio.
“Events like Mud4Fun are central to our strategy of diversifying Kenya’s tourism product. By blending adventure, sports, and family entertainment, we are expanding our offering beyond traditional safaris while encouraging domestic travel,” she said.
Chepkemei noted that the event reflects the vibrancy of Kenya’s local tourism circuit and its potential to attract regional visitors.
Mud4Fun also doubles as an experiential marketing platform, giving brands an opportunity to engage directly with a youthful audience through interactive activations.
Organizers have urged attendees to follow Mud4Fun’s official social media platforms for updates, preparation tips, and previews ahead of the event.
