Nike has officially opened its first flagship store in Nairobi, marking a major milestone for the brand’s expansion in Kenya and the wider East African region.

The new outlet is designed to deliver more than just shopping—it offers an immersive experience that blends performance innovation, sport culture, and lifestyle, bringing athletes and consumers closer to the future of sport.

The grand opening was headlined by marathon legend Eliud Kipchoge, who joined local athletes and members of the running community for a panel discussion.

Widely regarded as one of the greatest marathoners of all time, Kipchoge continues to inspire globally through his philosophy, “No Human Is Limited,” and his deep commitment to nurturing the running culture in Kenya and beyond.

“Today is a special moment for Kenya and for the future generation of athletes,” Kipchoge said.

“Sport has the power to inspire, unite and move people forward. I’m proud to see Nike continue investing in the running community and the future of sport here at home.”

The launch was spearheaded by Hudson Brand Development Kenya, part of Hudson Holdings, Nike’s official distributor partner across North and Sub-Saharan Africa.

Country General Manager Kieran Murphy described the store as a strategic step in strengthening Nike’s footprint in Kenya, noting that it will play a key role in serving local athletes while advancing the growth of sport across the region.
