State Department of Broadcasting and Telecommunications Principal Secretary Stephen Motari Isaboke on Tuesday joined regional and international leaders at the official opening of the Africa Forward Summit in Nairobi.
The Summit is being held at the Kenyatta International Convention Centre (KICC), underscoring Kenya’s growing influence in continental diplomacy, innovation, and economic transformation.
The summit was presided over by President William Samoei Ruto alongside French President Emmanuel Macron, bringing together policymakers, investors, development partners, innovators, and business leaders from across Africa and beyond.
Delegates convened to deliberate on Africa’s future growth and strategic partnerships, with Nairobi once again serving as a focal point for international dialogue.
PS Isaboke’s participation reflected Kenya’s continued commitment to fostering international cooperation, strengthening public-private partnerships, and positioning the country as a gateway for investment, technology, and sustainable development.
His presence at the summit highlighted the government’s emphasis on aligning national priorities with continental and global agendas.
Discussions at the Africa Forward Summit centered on accelerating Africa’s economic transformation through innovation, infrastructure development, digital inclusion, youth empowerment, climate resilience, and enhanced trade integration.
Leaders also examined the importance of collaborative approaches in addressing emerging global and continental challenges, including climate change, shifting geopolitical dynamics, and the need for resilient economies.
The summit reaffirmed Nairobi’s status as a leading diplomatic and economic hub in Africa.
Kenya has increasingly become a preferred destination for international policy engagement and strategic investment forums, with the KICC hosting a growing number of global summits that shape the continent’s trajectory.
The Africa Forward Summit is expected to generate new partnerships and actionable frameworks aimed at deepening economic cooperation between African nations and global partners.
